Lift kit for extended cab model.

Recommended Posts

Having trouble finding a suspension lift kit for a 97 Sierra extended cab. The issue is apparently with the front suspension on the extended cab models. Only looking to lift 2-3 inches and avoid body lift. Trying to keep it cheap. Shocks need replacing right now anyway so figured it'd be a good time to lift it. Any advice?

--Response from Supreme Suspension--

"unfortunately we do not have a spacer lift kit for the extended cab models. the extended cabs have a strange base where the spring sets into. and we have not made a spacer that can accommodate it.

Thank you so much for working with us. Feedback on our products and services is extremely important to us. We would absolutely love it if you posted a 5 star review or rating to our eBay, Amazon, or Website page. In addition we have provided a short optional survey that will directly help our customer service team improve. "

"unfortunately it is the front coil spring perches that make them difficult to lift and we do not have a lift spacer to accommodate it. the rear suspension is ok for any type of lift kit. and the shock mounting points are the same as other factory trucks. so if you can find a company that makes a lift kit specifically for the extended cab models I would pick it up. and we can provide the rest.

Never heard of an ext cab model issue.

Here is a 2-3" from Rough Country http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-165.html

Unless you are a 2wd, that changes things.

that must be the confusion.

96-99... not sure what happened in the market. Seems some parts people get confused.

energy suspension has a great cab mount replace, helps the frame. I am not a fan of lift kits, but do take on overworked steel.. welding etc..

surprising what people skip over to make a tough truck.

cross sills under the bed are sheet metal.. those can be doubled in a day.

have fun. these look nice lifted.
