Life of Vehicle Fuel Economy

Recommended Posts

Trip B odometer has never been reset. Fuel Economy shown is for life of vehicle. This truck has had significant towing and haven't always been hyper-miling. Still seems like a pretty good LoV FE average. Can any top this? 6.2L 8 Spd.

I've never reset my trip B either.. I used B in my old truck for oil changes, but with the oil life indicator, I won't be using the trip B. I'm at 1500 lifetime miles average 17.5 mpg

Am at 18.1 after 9000 miles.

I don't drive it much and it is mostly shorter trips with longer interstate trips here and there.

17 CC Std Bed 6.2 8spd +20 MPG Doing lots of remote start cool-downs and mostly city driving and I regularly tow a small enclosed trailer so it has not nearly reached its potential yet. Thinking under the right conditions I will see closer to 30 MPG than 20 MPG. Gotta get my catback exhaust and CAI on once I hit around 10,000 mile (got to make sure the powertrain is solid before modifying anything).........then it is ON!

Wow, you guys are doing great. I have the 6.2, 8 speed, 3.23 rear and mine got reset accidentally but I'm a 13000 miles now and I am at 14.5 mpg. Difference is I have a '15 Denali Yukon XL. Alot of city and towing but you guys are impressive. I am guessing weight is hurting me compared to the pickup. Also I am in south Florida and the A/C is always on. When I take road trips my mileage is 21 mpg easily. Which is great in my eyes.

How'd I know you'd be on this thread ?

I got 31k miles my trip B is saying low 17s. The first winter this truck was in is what brought it down and have never been able to recover. I believe it was nearly 19 prior to its first winter. Still, Im super happy, but don't think ill ever hit closer 30mpg ?
