Bull Bar - Sensor issues?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I am going to pickup my 2500HD Sierra tomorrow and want to get a bull bar or something similar. I noticed some of the manufacturers have a note that says "the bar might block the sensors".

Does anyone have a bull bar or bumper guard that works with the front sensors?

Thank you for the help.

Westin, like the more square look, more massive and sensors still work.

My 2015 Sierra had the issue with the bull bar triggering the sensors. It was aggravating. I finally unplugged the sensors and it didn’t eliminate the issues but would notify you to service the system. Well this weekend I drilled 1” holes in the bull bar, cut the wires on the two center front sensors and popped them out and into the bull bar holes. Extended the wires and it cures the problem. No more alarms or alerts. All is working normally.
