Instrument Panel lighting issues 2001 Silverado

My brother is having trouble with the backlighting on the instrument panel of his 2001 Silverado. Fuse is good. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas?

I will take a stab at this. Truck is 17 years old. Change the bulbs?

Think they would all go out at one time? It was an on one day, off the next type thing.

The panel dimmer switch might have some oxidation on the contacts. Move it rapidly up and down a few times to see if that helps. If not, I'd replace it.

Good call. Replaced the switch and it works like new!
