General Motors has won yet again in court. In the latest of six bellwether cases selected to help determine how a class action lawsuit will proceed, GM again wins. The Detroit News reports that a jury in New York has found that GM was not liable for injuries to a driver who claimed the crash and resulting injuries he suffered were related to the ignition switch defect.

One trend that GM-Trucks.com sees is that the facts in each of these cases are never quite what the stereotype is made out to be by the mass-media. For example, in this case, the vehicle in which the accident occurred continued to be used by the driver after the accident.

GM has yet to loose a bellwether case. Winning these and settling at a reasonable cost (already over $ billion for GM) is critical. The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that GM may be liable for the ignition switch cases and that its bankruptcy does not shield it from liability. That could mean up to $10 billion in pending liability according to experts.

It all depends on how the complaint is framed, what is the complainant doing while it’s being framed, then how much horsepower and staying power the complainant has until there is resolution. As with any complaint from someone like you or me, no matter how large or small, we will not have the time or resources to withstand a behemoth like GM. Result, notch another one for the Gipper.

There were many breakdowns in this ignition case scenario. Problem number one is Public/Media believe "GM" basically knew, and fully aware that shenanigans from TOP DOWN was responsible. Quite the opposite and problems with public perception/media and urban legends all have one image and view in mind of "GM" pure hatred!

Like I said," I must be the only customer GM has ever had that my Tranny has not roasted, engine failed, or completely screwed with unsafe Lemon"

Almost like a DEATH to AMERICANS point of view from Muslims.............it gets old.........
