They made the new Yukon too small

Recommended Posts

So they 2017 GMC Yukon SLT I wanted showed up at the dealer today, very excited (and a bit sad to see my truck go)

I'm 6'6, not super tall but not short by any account, with a even torso / leg lengths

I go to get into the Yukon and I move the seat all the way back and all the way down as I'm used to doing, and even then I was quite shocked to find my head touching the ceiling

Now I have over 3 inches worth of clearance in my 15 Silverado only difference I can think is the Yukon has the sunroof and the Silverado doesn't.. I've never had this problem before and I've owned several trucks and tahoes / suburbans, now I can't get the vehicle I wanted because of this

Try sitting in another one with out a sunroof or with. Maybe something is not working properly with the seat or you find you have more room with out the sunroof.

Hop in one without a sunroof. Sunroof sacrifices headroom a good bit on these newer ones. Not sure why, if its a safety or structural deal. 5'10" and I can't put one where I want it, I have to drop the seat down a good bit.
