Sirius/XM Weather Map

I just bought a 2017 Tahoe Premier and I am having an issue with the weather map/radar. My issue is with the menus that are on the map screen. These menus, one up the left side of the screen and the one along the bottom of the screen. There is one menu on the right of the screen but you can turn that one off if desired. I would have thought that, like other menus in the infotainment system, the menus on this map screen would go away after a while, but they don't. Both menus take up a fair amount space on the weather map. I am wondering is i'am missing something in the setup of the Sirius weather map.

My trade in was a 2011 Ford Flex. On the Flex weather Map, it is Sirius/XM, the menus come up when you first go to the map and then go away after 25 seconds of non menu use. Touch the map screen and the magnus come back up.

I called GM customer service and they told me that it is a Sirius/XM issue. I called Sirius/WM and they said it was a GM issue. Now where do I go?

If you are expecting the same quality radio than was in your old Ford you bought the wrong truck. Yes, it is a GM thing but you have no real issue that can be changed. That is the way GM does their radio.

Im sorry to hear that. I figured for the price they wanted for the Premier model that it would have up to date technology. Is there a department at GM that handles updates to the Infotainment system. Maybe what Im looking for could be added in the next update.
