New Katzkin interior going in

Just ordered a Katzkin interior 100% full leather no vinyl anywhere. Went with the limited edition stitch pattern Black wrap with ash wings and stitching. Perforated center and wings. In the pic the red will be ash grey. Never liked the factory leather and the full vinyl rear seat. Will be installed next week.

My factory leather driver seat seamed to be defective and GM wouldn't warranty it even at 20k miles. The center of the factory perforated leather black finish was flaking off in a couple spots.

Doing it yourself or having a shop do it?

I was planning on buying it on Ebay and doing this mod.

Shop I ordered at will be installing it. 450 for labor and 1250 for the leather. If I didn't have factory ac seats would be 200 less for the leather. They need to use different foam for ventilated seats. The full 100% leather upgrade was another 2 or 300 also. I was going to but from Canadaseatskins the same full leather and limited edition patteren was 1380 for the leather but shop near me was just a little extra total price installed.

That's an awesome upgrade.

Clarify: your total cost was $1700, or $1700+"2 or 300 also?" (=$1900-2000)

Very reasonable installed - Did the same in my 2007.5 and it held up well for 10 years........ I like how they can custom embroider anything you like - had them match the pin-striping.........
