I’m deciding if I should add a coil spacer on my 2wd Silverado. I’m torn between a 2”, 2.5”, or 3”. Ideally I would like to run a 3” but I’ve heard I would need new control arms with a 3” but I would like some other opinions. If so, would is the biggest I could do without needing to replace any parts? Also I plan on adding some rear lift blocks and not sure what minimum size block would I need for it to sit level?

Earlier this week GM-Trucks.com reported that the bean counters at Goldman Sachs had estimated import tariffs on steel and aluminum could cost GM $1billion in profits. Maybe they were wrong? In an interview this week, GM's CEO Marry Barra was asked specifically about the top-selling General Motors vehicle, the Silverado. The host asked, "Have you done any studies? Would it jump the price of a GM Silverado by $100? Is there a way to gauge?" Ms. Barra's answer was interesting. She said, "It's a small impact. We would look to find offsets and efficiencies in other places to not have to pass that on to the customer." Although that was good news for Silverado buyers, what Barra said earlier in the interview was a bit of a surprise, given the media's coverage of the tariff issue. When asked if she thought there would be tariffs on imported steel and what it would mean for the price of a General Motors car, Barra said, "We source about 90% of our steel and the majority of our aluminum from the United States. So when I look at the specific impact from that perspective I think it something we can more than offset. "

Hello all, glad to be a part of your forums. My first truck was a 2004 Silverado SS Onyx Black. Since then I've had a few cars/suv's in between but I'm sooo glad to be back in a Chevy truck.
Last weekend I picked up a used 2014 Silverado LT 5.3L V8 from the local Chevy dealership in Enid, Oklahoma. Shortly after this picture was taken I added a Reflex spray in liner, tinted the front windows to match the back 20%, installed a leveling kit, and added a stubby antenna. At first I wasn't sure whether to go with Black or Chrome accents but lately I'm leaning towards chrome. I recently found a Undercover FLEX bed cover and Chrome running boards that I hope to have within the next week. After that I want to find neoprene seat covers (gray?) and chrome door handles with matching mirrors.

Hello, I looked 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 that I was interested in purchasing with the 5.3L V8 has 174,000 miles. Truck runs rough at idle, rpms are fluctuating. Check engine light is on with codes P0300 and P0301. Can’t troubleshoot the problem. Coils, spark plugs, spark plug wires, new O2 sensors, new catalytic converters. Guy says that rockers all move so it isn’t Active Fuel Management lifters and he says 150 psi of compression across all 8 cylinders. Truck was at dealership, dealership says problem with cylinder numbers 1 and 8 the P0301 explains problem with cylinder 1 but why isn’t code P0308 being thrown? What else could be the problem?
