Adding transmission temp gauge

didvidyn

Question

What's needed, programming wise, to add transmission gauge to the cluster ?

(Besides the face overlay, new gauges soldering, and actual temp sensor install)

Or just soldering in a gauge is all that's needed for cluster, and no reflashing or programing required ?

The EEPROM chip on the circuit board needs to be programmed properly by changing a couple values. And of course add the stepper motor, bulb, needle/pointer and the proper gauge face. There are cluster shops that can add it to any 2003 through 2006 GM full size truck and SUV. It's much easier to add it to your cluster rather than swapping clusters.
