How to stop the disclaimer when truck is started

Recommended Posts

Dealer service likely did a software update and in that update that is why you now see the disclaimer. Might be worth calling your service advisor and asking if he or one of the tech mechanics can get on the horn with someone at GM tech support and see if there is any way to manually disable it. Otherwise I am betting you will have to stick with it as the software update likely interacts with the new EGT they put in.

Yes truck is two years old and never seen it before. Like Colossus said, they probably updated the software during maintenance.

Not saying your wrong, but my 2015 HD (early build) did it, my 2016 Colorado does it, etc. Various others have as well that I've driven...base, up level radio...

Anyone know how to prevent the disclaimer on the main screen when the truck is started? I did not have it until the dealer replaced a EGT sensor and cannot find anything in the owners manual.

Do you mean the "please keep your eyes on the road etc..."? If so, I get it about once a month. My 2014 and 2016 were exactly the same.
