Trying to read Alignment results.

flyboyron

Question

On the first page given to me by the dealer it shows my right front wheel is not aligned correctly (Red), and the left wheel is aligned correctly (Green). That was at 7:10 am.

Now I knew when I had it aligned a few years ago the right front camber was put out of spec by 0.1 degree and that is why it is showing that was red. I read the report and that is what it showed, and I wasn't going to complain about it or pay another shop for another alignment to fix 1 degree.

The second page shows before they aligned it at 2:16 pm and if I am reading it right, the left wheel was out of alignment, and the right wheel was ok!

Why is this backwards? Is it possible I am reading this wrong?

So what do you think?

If your tire camber is off a little bit, I do not believe that it will cause any major issues. It may wear the inside of the tire slightly faster, but with regular tire rotations, I don't believe it will be an issue. All I mess with is the toe alignment. I do all my own alignments with a couple of tape measures and a few blocks of wood. Its more accurate, faster, and way the hell cheaper than a shop. You can Google it and find lots of videos and info on how to do it yourself. And before all you guys that own alignment shops say that I'm an "idiot", save your breath. You just keep charging the $100 to do the same damn toe alignment that anyone can do themselves for free. Yes, I know, all this does is the toe alignment (which is all that needed in most cases). Here is a link if you want to spend money on fancy tools to do the alignment:
