'16 Yukon Issues - Buyback, Sell, ???

Recommended Posts

This past December I got a heck of deal on a new, '16 Yukon XL Denali. The following happened recently...

* Aug 15, quit running at stop light, GM roadside assistance towed to dealer - engine replaced

Provided a loaner vehicle during engine replacement, dealer called and told me to immediately return loaner due to a recall, search internet find it's a brake issue - not driving the loaner, you want it, come and get it and bring me another!

* Get vehicle back, next day won't start, towed to dealer, provided loaner - replaced battery

* Get vehicle back, next day won't start, towed to dealer, provided loaner - replaced starter

* Get vehicle back, same day find it was hit - physical damage - dealer said they knew about it and that it was the fault of the wrecker service - got pics from wrecker service (before they towed and after they dropped off at dealer, no damage in pics!), why was my vehicle "ready" for me if they knew about damage, and if they knew about it why didn't they tell me?! Rhetorical questions - I know the answers, the wrecker did not do it and they thought/hoped I wouldn't notice. Anyway...

* Dealer came and got vehicle, provided a loaner

Now we're up to this past Friday. I get the vehicle back. Incomplete body work, no brake light now... and the kicker - today it quit running. Towed to dealer again.

I am at my wits end with the dealer and this vehicle. Through all of this GM has not contacted me - not once. Every time I've spoken to somebody at GM it was because I reached out to them. Very sad - putting it nicely. I said I wanted out of the vehicle and the dealer told me "GM is not, at this time, interested in buying your vehicle back". Excuse me? What I heard was "GM, at this time, does not care about you". All they have offered me at this point was to reimburse me for the extended warranty I bought with the vehicle and to give me a full bumper-to-bumper factory warranty for 5 years/86k miles.

I have a wife and kids. They are the primary users of the vehicle and I have zero confidence in it. I want out. At this point, I can't even keep possession of the vehicle long enough to sell it on my own!
