Bye Guys/Traded in the Silverado

So I leased a 2017 Double Cab Custom Rally back in April but ended up deciding on having another kid and now need more room. I tried hard to get into a crew cab but chevy doesn't give good incentives for crew cab leases. So I ended up picking up a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport Night. This forum was very helpful with various things from wiring my new sub, to swapping out the bland textured handles to nice color matched one. Thanks everyone for all the info. I don't know if this is allowed but I have a few things I took off the Silverado before trading it in if anyone in interested.

A set of black painted door handles $175 shipped

Borla 2.75" inlet to 4" Outlet 14" long Black Chrome Tip part# 20162 $50 shipped

A 10" Alpine SWT-10S2 Sub in a sealed enclosure that fits under the drivers side rear seat w/ Alpine MRV-M250 Mono Amp $250 shipped

Thanks Again!

I tested a Ram Laramie Limited a couple of weeks ago, beautoful truck, I was really impressed. I probably would have bought it but I'm 6'6 and just couldn't get the seat low enough or far enough back to feel right, like my 15 Sierra. Went with a new Silverado w the 6.2 instead. If I weren't so tall I probably would have bought that Ram though, I loved everything else about it. That and the tail gate not having the easy down.

I'm really liking the 8 speed in the ram, much better than the clunker 6 speed I had. I just put on the Dee Zee tail gate assist today and it was only $20. [emoji1]

$20 well spent! It's something that I never would have cared about id I hadn't had a couple of GM's with it. It's nice to pop the latch and just let it drop, whem you have something heavy in your arms.

The Ram 8spd did work great, I agree. I've had 3 of the new GM 6spd's and they are not as refined. We'll see how their 8spd is but from what I've been reading they are a little lacking, too. Not a deal breaker for me as long as they are reliable and durable.

You can get a good deal on a Ram right now, I was looking at some crew Cab big horn's with the 5.7L & 4x4 , found a few new ones for $32k vs a new LT crew cab with comparable equipment and the 5.3 was at least 36k as advertised at least. I don't 'need' a crew cab so I am just gonna hold onto my DBL cab Chevy for now.
