2017 Denali vs 2018 Denali

Recommended Posts

I am looking to by the new Denali after my truck flooded during Harvey here in Houston.. the 2017 Denalis have a lot of rebates and the 2018's have none. What are the major differences in these two, if any? It seems there are more 2018 black on black Denali's with the 6.2 around here. I can't even find a 2017 in Houston that meets what I want.

No major changes for 2018. Only plus would be the value down the road by being a model year newer.

I just purchased a '17 Denali and a very nice savings compared to the available 18's. Overall price really negates the value down the road as most of the value loss is the 1st yr depreciation. Once these are 3 to 5 years old the value won't be that different.

I would not buy your new truck from the Houston area. Too many of the new trucks that did not flood got damp and will be sold. Ford made the commitment to crush every questionable truck no matter how slight the damage. GM and Dodge won't say what they are doing with their non flooded damp trucks.

Yeah I know that. That’s why my truck is being sent from a dealership out of state. :) The dealership I went to crushed every vehicle on their lot as well.

I understand the logic but boy this is such an unfortunate waste! A lot of body and mechanical parts would not be damaged by the water and could be recycled easily.

You should Not read into Too much of FERD'S PR's it's making you look more and more like an F-150 guy.....Not that there is anything wrong with that. GM does not have publicize every thing they do good and bad only the facts really like an AL bed for example.....maybe you should spin one of those 2.7 TT around the block for us and post on F-150 forum?
