Anyone with 3D printer???

Recommended Posts

I have a 2014 silverado with the PROJECTOR headlights.... the LEDs i bought will not fit with the dust cover on...

wondering if anyone here could make dust covers that extend out further?

(the Morimoto dust extenders WILL NOT WORK... already contemplated that route)

Let me know... thanks

I don't know about on here but there are multiple services that do this online where you can upload your design and get it printed and sent to you. Shapeways is one, I know there are others as well.

Biggest challenge will be designing the part. Also not sure how strong they would be, not sure I'd trust most consumer 3D printers for something as important as headlights. If a tab lets go because of the manufacturing process then that light could shut off. Unlikely that they both would at the same time but you never know. Not something I'd want to risk personally.

Its possible. I have one at work, but the melting temps of the material we have is 200oC. Do you have an idea of how hot that area might get?
