Opinion on cam bearing

Long story short. I'm in the middle of a DOD/VVT delete with a new cam install. Went with the Brian Tooley Racing kit and cam (they are AWESOME). This is my bearing I cannot feel any of the grooves with my flathead. Would you run it or replace it? I really don't have the tools to pull the motor but want everyone's opinion.

I would replace it. Rather safe than sorry

Absolutely, if you can see it, replace it unless it's already new. Bearings are cheap particularly compared to the cost if they fail later.

If I can run my pick tool across it and feel any resistance I replace them If not, I leave them in. The point on the pick works better than a flathead. Also Lisle makes a great cam bearing tool that you can use with the motor in the vehicle It's a little shorter than the others so you have better clearance. http://amzn.to/2hiQaIQ I use it a ton and it is definitely worth the purchase.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to pull the engine and bring it to the machine shop. While it's apart ill have them install new main and rod bearings as well.
