Can a Canadian Silverado (metric) be reprogrammed for USA (standard)

Recommended Posts

Like the title says. Does anyone know?

Or did I get ahead of myself and it's a setting in the menu and I flip the switch and it's all good?

You can’t change yours in the vehicle settings, I can.

Yeah, I'm a dork. I was completely in the wrong area trying to do it under settings.

I was going to settings on the radio, not the steering wheel.

I switch it  often.

(old and gray enough I still think in MPG. even though I get along fine with kilometers and C*)

I don't switch it every day, but do frequently.

I think US and Cdn do have different speedometers.

Cdn model has 100 at the 12 o'clock position. Someone will check, but I thin us model has 60 at the 12 o'clock.

Yes they do. The Cdn version goes up to 200. and oil pressure is obviously different.

Silverado here crapped it's vacuum pump sending engine oil into the brake booster. Local dealership can't fix it.......Canadian truck with gm Canadian warranty.... Was a buy back.   Went thru auctions via gm buyback....ended up far from Canada. Local dealer can't fix until Canadian gm warranty transferred to US.     True story....poor guy is screwed for awhile.
