Truck Wash

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

New to the Forum. I just bought a new 2017 Silverado LT Z71 double cab. I live in Acton Ma.

Does anyone have recommendations on how/where to wash the truck?

I used to take my 06 Tundra to the local car wash and I may be imagining it, but it seemed like it came out with scratches on the wheel fenders.

I don't think I could bear a scratch on this thing. Its so new and shiny!

Thanks in advance.

Dom

Best case "Wash / Dry / Wax by hand..

Use good quality drying towels..

Many brands and types are available, even at Wallmart..

I have Black truck and heated garage with soft water spigots Hot/Cold mix to help with water spotting.

Installed / extended house soft water copper pipes to garage after moving in..

For winter,, find Touchless car wash that has its doors closed to outside winter temps.

Many also have undercarriage sprays to help reduce / remove road salt.

In Iowa,, these Touchless washes cost about $11.00 without coupons...

Have Fun-----K

Brand new truck, spend the money up front and get it professionally ceramic coated. This will save you on number of washes needed and from light scratches.

If done right, basically rain washes your car because water just beads off. Otherwise touchless

Welcome! I'm in Worcester.

This time of year until spring, I go to the local touchless wash since my outside spigots are turned off at home for the winter. I get the undercarriage wash too for an extra couple of bucks. It does a pretty good job.

Summertime, I wash myself at home with a microfiber cloth and Maguire's wash. Dry it with a leaf blower.

  • 1 month later...

Here is another option for those in Canada (Coming to US next year);
Avail. at many powersport and RV dealers. Car/truck accessory dealers coming soon.

Simple, easy, fast, affordable. One product easily cleans road grime, dirt, salt, bugs, brake dust, bird crap, tree sap, etc;
