camera 2015 Backup Cam: Any to force it on w/o being in Reverse?

Has anybody found a way to force the backup cam on without being in Reverse gear?

That be nice, my BMW X5 has a button i can press and it shows it, love it. I will be interested to know, i havent found a way yet.

Yes, MVI or one of the audio Vendors on here have a harness that allows for this to happen.  Push a button on the infotainment screen and it turns on.  Do a search.

This unit from NAV-TV allows you to add cameras and or force rear cam.

My camera comes on with my cargo light now that I bridged the power between the cargo and reverse lights.

Probably won't help because the cargo turns off when in gear, but thought it was interesting.

In order to view the camera in motion you will need this part, $75.

I was really interested until I read the $499 price tag on the software flash....
