2018 Chevy Tahoe Custom Midnight - Image and Specs

GM continues to black out every model and the new 2018 Chevy Tahoe Custom Midnight looks great to our eyes. “The introduction of the Tahoe Custom last year was well-received by our customers who were looking for the capability of a full-size SUV with the added utility of increased rear cargo space,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director. “The Tahoe Custom Midnight takes the capability and value of the Custom trim and adds rugged, all-black features found on our popular Midnight Editions."

 

The $45,995 2018 Chevy Tahoe Custom Midnight is based on the LS trim and has the following features and appearance changes:

All-black Midnight appearance

18-inch painted black wheels with aggressive Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires

Black grille

Off-road assist steps

Black bowtie emblems.

Third-row seat deleted for additional utility, increasing cargo space behind the second row to 54 cubic feet

355-hp, 5.3L V-8 engine

6,600 pounds of towing capacity

 

How do you like the look? Would you prefer the third-row seat or the extra cargo area?

Are they even selling the regular Custom yet? You can't build one online nor do I see any listings.

 

 

But to stay on topic, I don't like black wheels on trucks and I'd welcome the 3rd row delete. The 3rd row makes the cargo floor several inches higher. 

 

 

 

Edit, nevermind. Custom is just an option package, not a trim. And it's still expensive as hell. $50k for a no-option 4WD. Full size SUV prices are nuts.

i considered the tahoe because i have two kids and two dogs.  i decided to go with a crew 2500hd gasser instead.  put a cap on the back for the dogs.  costs less than a tahoe by a good bit and it is a heck of a lot heavier duty.

Wasted money. It’s a black Tahoe. Nothing earth shattering here. And yup... STILL too pricey per usual for a Tahoe.
