Cab Clearance Lights not working - 2005 Sierra 3500

Recommended Posts

I've noticed the cab clearance lamps on my new to me 2005 GMC 3500 are not working. I've pulled the left single light and the center cluster. There is no power at either plug. My truck is a cab chassis if that matters. Is there a fuse for these lights? I don't see one listed in the owners manual. Anywhere in particular to look for a problem?

Hi, On the PASSENGER side of your Cab, Very END of the dash when you open the door, is "another" triangle shaped removable panel like the Drivers side has for fuses. This one is  a  connector board junction. At the very Bottom of that circuit board is the connector for the Clearance lights. It's running horizontal as I recall. I think it may be green. That's where you can test power, or Disconnect and re connect. I can get a pic if you need.. , Bruce in NH ..

Thanks Formulabruce. It turns out there was a fuse missing in the electrical box under the hood, I think labeled parking lights or something similar. After replacing a couple of bulbs, they all work now.
