How much lift do I need for my tires??

I have a 96' z71, add-a-leaf and turned TB's with 33's... I am getting 6'' susp. and 3'' body and I am wanting to fit a 38.5x14.50 on a 15x10 wheel.. I am going to take the add-a-leaf off and turn the bars back down so i will only have 9"... WILL IT WORK??????????????? ( Don't care if some of the inner fenders get chopped up)

according to Mickey Thompson you need to have aleast a 6 suspension and 3 body to fit. sounds like you will be good to go.

Another question.... It wouldn't be a good idea to leave the add-a-leafs on and the bars topped out with that much lift would it? I heard that it could cause the ball joint to break... will it eventually happen?

i think those 38.5's will look awesome but do you think

those stock axles can handle it?

also do you have any pics of your truck with just the 33's?

About the axles, no. I am probably going to put a 1 ton rear end in it. I'll have some pictures of my truck with just the 33's soon. I took some yesterday for some before and after pictures. (My trucks getting the body lift put on today and the suspension this weekend)

What are you going to do about the front diff? It definitely won't like those tires...probably less than the 10 bolt rear.

ALSO.... THERE ARE NOW ABOUT 6 OR 7 LIFTED Z71'S IN MY TOWN AND IT HAS KIND OF MADE ME MAD THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE A FEW TRUCKS LIKE MINE SO I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT THE WHEELS AND TIRES... INSTEAD OF 15X10 EAGLE 102'S AND 38.5" SWAMPERS, I AM GOING TO ORDER 20X10 WELD EVO RENEGADES AND 38X15.50-20 NITTO MUD GRAPPLERS... THINK THAT WOULD BE COOL ON THE OLD Z??

BACK TO THE FRONT END... WOULD PUTTING A STRAIGHT AXLE UP FRONT BE A GOOD IDEA... I'VE SEEN ONE OTHER Z71 DONE LIKE THAT BUT I AM CLUELESS TO THE CONCEPT....
