I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Ext.cab Z71 and wanted to find out what recalls are out on my truck. I have been to Russell Chevrolet and they aren't very willing to help out with any of my questions.

I have a few problems going on with my truck and wanted to see if they were on the recall list.

Thanks, C.L.. Patton

You'll be sorry you asked. This is what I get when I key in a 2005 Silverado 4x4 and request an index of ALL bulletins, and I deleted about 50 that were "field product reminders" that are mostly duplications of the same thing. What I left in includes information only type bulletins, warranty admin. type bulletins, etc. Many of these will be of no interest to you.

Do not even think about asking me to supply the full text of more than one of these. :chevrolet:

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Ext.cab Z71 and wanted to find out what recalls are out on my truck. I have been to Russell Chevrolet and they aren't very willing to help out with any of my questions.

I have a few problems going on with my truck and wanted to see if they were on the recall list.

Thanks, C.L.. Patton

A TSB does not equal a "recall"

You'll be sorry you asked.  This is what I get when I key in a 2005 Silverado 4x4 and request an index of ALL bulletins, and I deleted about 50 that were "field product reminders" that are mostly duplications of the same thing. What I left in includes information only type bulletins, warranty admin. type bulletins, etc.  Many of these will be of no interest to you.

Do not even think about asking me to supply the full text of more than one of these.  :flag:

One problem with alldata.com is that until the manufacturer releases the info, they can't publish it. 2005 year models are not available in their database, unless they have changed since I last used them.

Secondly, what GM-TECH posted in that TSB list is quite valuable. If you are creative with GOOGLE and are willing to dig, you'll be able to find the solution listed by the bulletin titles.
