Heated Seat Kit - 17803282

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ordered / installed the Heated Seat Kit From GM Accessories (08 NBS)? GM P/N 17803282

The dealer wanted over $500 to install it, over and above the $399 kit price. I know it involves removing the seats, taking the seat covers off and installing the switches in the dash, but I am willing to do a lot of work for $500. Do the kits come with instructions?

I am a newbie to this site and I have searched but could not find anything on this topic.

Any info would be appreciated.

Can't speak for GM version. I bought aftermarket from Pacific Northwest, and Check corp, for my previous trucks. Only way I'd go.

i am installing this kit as we speak.. just received it in the mail this week and have the seats installed already along with the switches. the had part is the wiring as i cannot figure out where all the ends plug in.. the manual that came with it has really bad pics so it is hard to make out. anyone have any hints on where this harness plugs in as I am a big confused?

Will this kit fit the bench seats?? I seem to remember it stating it was for buckets only, but then I also remember reading (and seeing) that the seats were the same for the bench and buckets. They sure look the same in pictures.

i really cannot see why it would not work for bench seats to be honest after looking at it.

as for the manual... the pics are worthless..and that is why I am having a rough time. they are really fuzzy and hard to make out..perhaps it is just in the manual that gm sent me...who knows...if anyone can send me a new install instructions the part number is 19159289 and i would really appreciate it. I am basically stuck on the steps from 34-47. any guidance would be appreciated.

x2...I'm considering this, too, and would love to see a pic of the switch installed.

I knew you'd be in here to lay the sales pitch on! :dunno:

If I can install it myself and just have your guy program it, that would be a significant cost savings. I was a little worried about the labor costs for a full install.
