  1. Yes mine did this....replaced the engine temp sensor and the problem when away.
  2. I had #1 cylinder misfire and after changing all plugs, plug wires and then all ignition coil packs myself and still had misfire took truck to dealership and they told me I had no compression in #1 cylinder and needed new long block. Luckily I had bought a extended warranty after I paid truck off and they covered it all except taxes and stuff like plugs, wires and ignition coils which I had already replaced and they didn't cover new belts, hoses and 1 motor mount. But I did get a new 6.2 with 3 year 100k miles warranty from GM and the warranty also replaced entire rear differential, drive shaft and both axles, all bearing and seals and ring and pinion gears as well. Again I only paid taxes and original diagnostic cost. I currently have 135k miles on my 2015 CC LTZ and almost a entire new drive train. Oh and transmission was replaced under original factory warranty at 97k miles
  3. Bought these off a 2015 Cadillac SUV, owner went with 24" setup so I sold my 20's and went with this setup, had to buy center bowtie caps but other than that fit right on. Had some issues swapping my TPS sensors (wouldn't reprogram at 1st) but I like the look.
  4. I went with 3.73 on mine, had 4.10 on my '12 silverado with 6 spd and yes it made it quite fast but the MPG's dropped a lot, 3.73's with the 8spd is still averaging 16-17 mpg on my daily driving and on a 300+ mile trip I averaged 21.7 mpg and that was loaded down with camping gear (fire wood) and 3 people in truck doing 70 to 80+ mph
  5. I had my rear gears changed on my 2wd 2015 silverado, mine has the 6.2L and 8 spd tranny so it has the 9.76 axle. This made a big difference in what the shop had to do as far as swapping from 3.23 to 3.73. They had to change everything inside the diff I believe. I can PM you the # to the shop here in Houston area and they should be able to fill you in on what you;ll need done on your setup.
  6. Have not paid that much attention but I know that at 75 mph my rpm's are reading 1800-1900 and that at 70 mph around 1600.
  7. Never actually ask what size his wheels where just looked smaller since I have Chevy (20') and GMC look different and a bit smaller. He just let me know what he had 15' and done to his and what it had in it (6.2 w/Max towing), Vmax and Ag doctor......not saying I had major complaints with the original gearing just new it could be better. Each person has there preferences and having lower gears is mine.
  8. Updates: Pros: great acceleration did I say great acceleration ! Cons: lost about 2 MPG (but it does seem to do better in city driving than before IMO) Honestly again IMO this is what GM should have done to begin with.
  9. No the shop only installed new gearing, I reprogrammed the ECM using my programmer I have installed and was able to change to 3.73 ratio from 3.23.
  10. Ok, its done as of Friday 10-30-2015. Rear gears are changed from 3.23 to 3.73 ratio and I love it so far but since SE Texas has been hit with so much wind and rain starting that same Friday I dont have any actual performance figures other than I ate the lunch of a 2015 GMC CC with 6.2 and the towing package with 3.42 and 17" or 18" wheels setup. He also had a programmer and CAI. I walked off and left him on 3-4 different tries. He and I pulled over and he did not understand why he did not pull on me (he first thought I had a 5.3 and the Rally Edition due to my strips, LOL!!) The change cost 1465.00 and the axle shop had to go with GM's 3.73 gears and limited slip unit as the OEM setup with 3.23 gears requires it all to be changed. Something like that ( I am not a mechanic so don't have great details). My MPG has not really changed that much and actually it seems it remains in 4V easier due to the torque has increased while its in that mode and takes less effort to accelerate in 4V mode, so my average MPG has seemed to increase when cruising around (keeping my foot out of it) Got to work this morning and at 26 miles to work averaging 70 MPH the MPG shows 20.1 average and 20.6 best. 75 MPH RPM's are reading about 1900 rpms When it dries out some I will play with it a little more and try and get more performance info, but it is a positive difference so far. 11. No Mine is not (323 gearing), looking to step up to 373 gearing. 1st gear is OK on take off but after that (esp when towing) seems to fall on its face. I guessing that with the 8spd tranny it still will be getting decent MPG esp if I put it back to AFM (4V mode) which I have disabled now and still am ranging combined City/Highway around 17.4. Highway on a 180 mile trip to East Texas was 22.6 with out 4V activated.
  12. OK so I did this on my 2012 with 6.2 and really enjoyed the difference by changing to 410 gears verses the OEM 342's. Yes lost MPG but considering I drive a company vehicle 5 days out of 7 it was not a big factor IMO. I spoke with the same CO that did the work last time and was advised to go with 373's on this setup due to the 8 spd tranny gearing. Which from my research sounds right. Who if any one has done this and how did it turn out? Also he quoted me right at $1000.00 with Tax included. (2012 cost was around $870,00)
