  1. The bulletin says if there is no paint mark, it is not the right one. It's not the color of the mark, it's whether or not it has one, according to the bulletin (bottom of page 1).
  2. Here is the service bulletin that my dealer used this week to repair my column. It's now a known issue with a defined solution. Dealer can resolve. PIT5809.pdf
  3. Check out my post on upper steering column replacement. Mine was doing the same thing. There is a TSB out on it (number is in my post, PIT5809 I think was the number). I also had a clunk in the wheel. Front left felt unconnected to the road, if that makes sense. Not sure what the problem the upper steering column shaft has, but changing it out solved my issue.
  4. Accidently put this in the wrong forum...... My 2020 Sierra HD began having a clunking type sound in the steering. It also seemed to become less responsive, almost like there was excessive play in the steering. The left front didn't feel connected as well to the road. It was an odd feeling, quite frankly, I thought I was losing my mind. I did take it to the dealer, they test drove it, and found a TSB on it. Upper steering shaft replacement. I've not actually read the TSB, so I'm not sure how much it mimicked my symptoms, but the problem seems to be resolved. I could (and what I demonstrated to my dealer) move the steering wheel right to left and a clunk would sound. Felt like a safety issue. You guys might want to check your trucks, make sure you don't have this issue. Bulletin is #PIT5809: Clunk Pop Rattle Knock Click type noise heard or felt in the steering. Looks like it came out 01/27/2021. PIT5809.pdf

  6. I was looking at (and I confess, admiring) my new GMC HD yesterday then I noticed that the front bumper is out of alignment. It's about 1/2 inch lower on the driver's side, gives it a crooked smile. I see some folks in the 1500 line have seen this, anyone on the new HDs? If so, did you get it adjusted or how did you do it? Thanks much.
  7. I just had the same problem. Dealer pressure tested it over the weekend, ran the system hot and found a defective lower radiator hose. Only leaked when it was hot and pressurized. Said it has about 8 connections on that hose. Dealer told me that hose was $295! Glad for warranties......
  8. UGH....after 15,000 miles of perfection, the truck developed a wicked vibration. Had the tires rebalanced, now going to the dealer tomorrow. After reading as many of these pages as I could, it seems there isn't a standard fix, it's a lollygag of items thrown at the truck. I hope my experience doesn't mirror the experience of a few of you poor owners on this issue! Overall though, I'm really happy with the truck, I just hope it stays that way.
