  1. That stinks I don't like the blue. To me it just screams "cheap rental car". The red has so much more pop IMO. Not that I was planning on trading my '15 anytime soon... but I guess now it's just another reason to hang on to it.
  2. Stinks the 16+ isn't removable. Though I haven't made much use of the space under there. Lost my trailer registration (with updated license plate sticker) in there. Tore the entire garage apart looking for it... and wound up eating another $100 to buy a duplicate from the state. Then one day, cleaning the truck, I popped the cupholder out and ... ta-da! *grumble*
  3. I think you answered your own question here The current 5.3 is WAY more powerful than the old 5.3 in the 2002's. (40hp or so, right? I think the '02s were rated at 285, current ones are 325). Combined with the 6-speed trans and towing is a whole new ballgame. I had an '04.5 LLY Duramax and I swear my current '15 1500 pulls just as nice. The new trucks have come a very long way.
  4. Interesting. Voice commands don't work on mine via either an iPod connected or a 128GB USB thumbdrive. I get a voice response saying there are too many songs. If voice commands actually work for the SD slot then hell I'll go buy an SD card and roll with that instead of the thumbdrive.
  5. Exactly and ditto. Doesn't matter if what you did actually caused the failure or not... it's on you to prove it didn't, your word against theirs. Nobody but the dealer touches my truck for as long as it's under warranty (and it'll be under warranty a long time). Everything recorded and written down. If something fails, it's either going to be the warranty problem or the dealer's problem.
  6. Right. And if I could figure out how to MAKE the truck do it... the dealer and a technician ride would be the FIRST place I go! Unfortunately, it happens intermittently and usually when I'm crawling along in rush hour traffic. I'll be zoned out listening to radio/music/podcast when CLUNK... and I don't recall the exact condition (speed, gear, RPM) was when it happened.
  7. At least it will get on record that there is a problem. My dealer says there is nothing wrong with my truck because no codes are set.
  8. Well it's great you can reproduce the problem. Should be very easy to take a technician for a ride to show him. Then THEY can mess with it. I've got a 2015 (with the 6-speed) but on rare occasion, I'll get some shudder or harsh CLUNK like it gets "stuck" in gear. It's random though, and I can't figure out how to reproduce it. So I'm kinda stuck with it for now until I can repeatably do it and demo it to the dealer.
  9. I have the same issue with ONE of my iPod classics (a 160gb). Though half the time, the system never even FINDS the iPod. My other iPod, an older 60gb iPod... I don't have the issue the OP describes. However, it's relatively often that the system never finds it in the first place. I gave up and use a USB thumb drive. Works well enough. About once every 2 months it stops working, and I have to power cycle the truck with the thumb drive removed, then plug it back in and it works.
  10. I like the blacked out trim - looks great! I'm generally not a fan of the Silvy (vs. the GMC) but that... I would totally drive.
