  1. My oil pump went on my 5.3L 2014 sierra at ~145k miles. It was throwing P06DD. Had to get new ECM also, ran me about $3500. A few months later the 6 speed trans went, another $3,300.. 2019 was not a great year for the truck.
  2. I feel like many who didn't get relief didn't ask hard enough. And should a condenser in Michigan go at 115k and 4 years? I went to the dealer I bought my truck from and I always feel taken care of. I've been to another (more local to me) dealer and they couldn't even replace my battery correctly, or diagnose that there was a loose nut, on the battery terminal..go figure.. So it does depend on who you talk to, I doubt this other dealer would have done as much or anything on the condenser. Anyone still going through the issue I would suggest going about it per my early post in this thread...starting with a live chat on gmc site, etc etc..
  3. Guys read through some people's past experiences here...GM is offering cost assistance at the dealership to replace, but it seems to vary dealer to dealer(and you have to ask for it). My experience at 115k miles on a 2014 GMC was a $250 cost out the door. I found that to be fair being out of warranty and up there in miles..like you say, hopefully you have a super generous dealer..
  4. Agree mostly^^... and then there's the money the condenser supplier is paying GM for each replacement.
  5. So I have an early 2014 Sierra AT 5.3L, 113,000 miles. Had the condenser go about a month ago, and after getting a ~$1200 estimate I decided to hold off on what to do for a while(In Michigan here so the heat has been tolerable). The parts were on back-order as well. One day I randomly started chatting on the GMC main site with one of the chat service people. Gave them the background of the issue, my truck info ,etc and they contacted my dealer. I believe a case number was opened at this time that became the dealerships responsibility. The dealer called me the next day and had most of the info, but I further explained the issue to them and gave them my mileage. They did just get the condensers in as well. The dealership (I believe the service manager) had to check if GM was offering any cost assistance for this issue, so he checked some system and called me right back to confirm that they were. All in all they said it'd cost me $275, which did end up to be the final total. I dropped my truck off the next evening and they had the condenser replaced/recharged and the steering recall done by noon the next day. Pretty happy with the cost and speed(once they had the part) of this resolution, especially now that I'm out of warranty..
  6. Trick I found a lil while back is that change slips perfectly under the crack of the cup holders in the center counsel storage area! i dunno why but this made me so happy
  7. haha. I think 0 gauge was recommended for those two monster 12'' L7's that are 750 watts rms each..So I had some from my last install in my car.. I noticed that the lights do slightly dim when the base pounds obnoxiously loud, but its better than my old 02 grand am. I think I'm going to get the shallow kicker 12s eventually. not sure about one or two yet..
  8. I used 0 gauge wire so making that sharp bend before coming into the cab of the truck wasn't even possible! Good point though that needs to be thought through. I slightly modified your masterpiece with the snipping tool to show that there are little flaps on the vents to help with weather too. I do still need to make sure everything is in check with that..
  9. So I just ran the wiring for my sub/amp to test the signal etc.. Had my old kicker L7's to test it out. Here's a couple pics of what I did. Thanks Moto for speeding up the process for me. The signal and wiring was clean and easy. I soldered all connections and to my ears there's no distortion. I never did drill, I found some air vents behind the back seat on the passenger side so I just fished 'er through..
  10. How/where do you guys run your amps power from the battery? Awesome Thread BTW!
