  1. I have the Goodyear Fortera SL tires in 285/45R22. I’m on my second summer with them. They are not a great all season tire, but I live in Canada and have Michelin Xice tires for winter, so it didn’t matter to me. Price was much less than the Nitto Terra Grappler (which I had previously and I highly recommend them). https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Fortera+SL+Edition&partnum=845HR2FORTSLXL
  2. Motor mount condition is ok? If so I would reset the fuel trims and do an idle relearn to start.
  3. Remove the third cat instead. That will not cause any drone and will give you a bit more noise.
  4. I experienced with the Airraid MIT that the factory airbox became a restriction after adding headers to my 6.2. There was a noticeable seat of the pants(wheelspin) difference and airflow volume increased when comparing back to back datalogs. I've since lost the datalogs in a laptop hard drive failure. Personally I ended up cutting up my factory airbox on the lower front corner to open up the factory box behind the headlight and below to the fender well area. No pics again.
  5. There is a resistor built into the cord on the gmt900's near the plug end. It's raised and about the size of a dime. Cut the cord end off and splice in an universal end and the temperature turn on and off will be removed.
  6. The AFM shield deflects and helps stop oil mist/vaporization which has a greater chance of getting sucked out by the pcv system.
  7. Seafoam or a decent flush with oil changes wouldn't hurt.
  8. Its interesting to see the plug with the most deposits came from the same location mine did. My plugs were in worse shape than yours. Although mine were in worse shape with more deposits than yours. What kinds of hours are on your engine?
  9. Go to a different dealer. I didn't have to do a consumption test, they took my word and did the valve cover, 8 lifters and the oil pan reflector fix as well. I now consume less than a liter per 6000 kms and has cut my oil consumption by over 50%.
  10. Anybody check plugs to see if a certain cylinder had more ash deposits on it than the rest?
  11. Anybody check spark plugs? I had more ash deposits on the spark plug near the firewall on the driver's side.
  12. I have been battling this issue for a couple weeks now since it turned cold here. I ended up getting the service kit and a ecm reprogram under the extended warranty program gm offered. I had the exact symptoms that was describes. Service engine light, service stabiltrac and reduced engine power.
