I have a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD. It was shifting pretty hard from 1st to 2nd so I started my You Tube research and saw a video where someone replaced their TPS and it fixed the problem. I thought I'd give it a try so I went and bought a TPS (OEM). After changing it out, the truck wouldn't start. It would turn over, but wouldn't start. I did some more You Tubing and ended up replacing the ignition control module (OEM). The truck started right up. In addition, when I drove it, the hard shifting was gone. The only problem now is that when I start the truck it idles rough until it warms up and then it idles beautifully. You tube has no suggestions so I'm reaching out to ya'll. I hope my story with the TPS and ICM can help someone. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I'm not mechanically inclined so please excuse me if I don't ask this correctly. Is there a specific type of scan tool I need for a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500? I'm trying to erase the air bag light code. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Does anyone know the factory tire size for a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab/step side? I can't read the sticker on the door and I couldn't find that information in the manual. If anyone can share a picture of their door sticker, that would be great! Thanks for your time. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I recently changed out the steering wheel on my 1995 GMC Sierra 1500. I had to remove my airbag and put it back on, but now my airbag light is on. Has anyone heard of this, and is there an easy fix? Thank you. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Is the hood off a 1993 Chevy truck identical to a hood off a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

issue Transmissions Issues/Problems

My question is this, can I take my truck to a transmission shop and have them correct this problem? At this point I don't care about the warranty, I want to enjoy the truck and I can't do that with the clunking and the bogging down. -
Compass, GPS, NAV and OnStar all failing

I did. Onstar was very good about that. Although I did call them when my Onstar stopped working so they had record of it. -
Update: They've had my truck for 6 days for the "clunk" that both the service advisor and mechanic heard/felt. When they finally got around to looking at the truck and put it on the lift they called me back and said it wasn't doing it anymore. I told them it doesn't happen all the time. I also reminded them that they felt it and both said at the time that it wasn't normal. He asked that I leave it with them longer so they can try and duplicate it again. Oh boy!
