  1. Travel Air model R. "Mystery Ship" posing in front of Wichita factory 1929.
  2. If you unhooked a fuel line somewhere could the electric fuel pump empty the tank? Mike
  3. Well that sucks. For the couple of mods I've done, upgraded jump seat and the DIC, I found wiring. Not as lucky this time. Thanks for checking. Mike
  4. I have an LS also and I'm sure it's a single horn. If the single is on the drivers side where would the the other horn be located? I'm guessing there is probably a wire there already. Thanks, Mike
  5. Wichita here. Almost basketball season...... Mike
  6. I think the "Heavy Duty" model comes in the three colors but I think the "X-act Contour" only come in black. Any dealer can order the various available colors. Check here...http://www.huskyliners.com/ Mike
  7. If they are all the same pressure....are they close to the specs for the original tires/sensors? The door sticker on my HD wants 60# front and 80# rear. I can't run all four at the same pressure (without a light on) because something will be too far out of the required pressure range. I usually get a light when the weather cools down because I try to run them a few pounds lower than the sticker info. I'm not sure how much leeway they allow but I thinks it's somewhere in the +/- 5# range. Maybe one of the tech guys knows for certain. Mike
  8. I had an '03 1/2T 5.3L 4x RCLB that I sold last year to move to an HD truck. The truck had 93K and the only repair I ever had done to it was a 4x servo motor at about 38K miles. I tried to talk them in to fixing it under the newly expired warranty but they didn't budge. It was faithfully maintained but worked hard hauling tools every day. It was starting to get some lifter noise on cold mornings but never used a bit of oil. It was a pretty good old truck. Hell, now I'm wondering why I got rid of it. Mike
  9. I have the foam blocks and they work fine. I thought about just getting matching color duct tape or maybe even foil tape since that stuff will stick to anything. I don't think either of those choices would look any worse than the foam blocks hanging out. Mike
  10. +1 on the Husky Xact Contours . I have them in my '13 2500 HD 4x4 and really like them. Even though most retailers don't show them working with the manual 4x shifter, they work just fine. Luckily my local guy had them in stock so I could check them for fit before buying. Mike
  11. Sorry, wasn't paying attention to what forum I was in. Mike
  12. It seems like they get swapped pretty often around here. Here is one link http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/150525-install-center-console-in-2013-silverado-lt/?hl=%2Bconsole+%2Bjump+%2Bseat If you do a search for "console jump seat" and choose "forums" to search you'll get about 3 pages of results. Mike
  13. Do you mean it's turning over slowly? If so, maybe it's a bad battery. I've seen new ones go bad. Let your dealer have a look. Mike
  14. A couple weeks ago when we had our first real cold day with a high around 10 degrees I had to drive to the city for an appointment. On the way back my DIC showed low air in my rear tires. I didn't think much about it and backed into the garage to add a little air. These tires want 80psi but I normally run close to 70. It seems the TPMS for the rear will light up the DIC at about 64psi. Anyway, after I got a little more air in the tires I turned the truck around and pulled into the garage. As I walked around the back of the truck I saw a nice puddle of what looked and smelled like gear oil where the front of the truck had been. I crawled under the truck to have a look and here's what I found. Apparently the leak had just started that morning since there was no oil on the garage floor where it had been parked....until I pulled it back in. I called my service guy and got it in a couple days later. At only 7,500 miles it was a warranty repair so just an inconvenience for me. The service manager told me that it looked like the seal was damaged during the original install. He also told me that they had never replaced that seal on a '13 before and that it took his tech longer than expected. I'm sure they have changed once since '07 and thought that setup would have been the same since the GMT900 models came out. Maybe not. The service guys took good care of me but I guess I'll watch both axles for a while. Mike
  15. How about the backup camera install thread... http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/151780-chevy-silveradogmc-sierra-fullsize-pickup-backup-camera-installation-write-up/?hl=%2Bbackup+%2Bcamera+%2Binstall Mike
