  1. Smoke on start up on my 09 Tahoe at 50,000 miles is where my troubles began. I believe the dealer cleaned the engine out per GM instruction. A couple of months later at startup I had no oil pressure. The dealer said it was a spun bearing and they replaced the engine under warranty. I think it had to do with AFM myself.
  2. It should be 1 quart from the top of the hash marks to the bottom of the hash marks. If it is at the third dot from the top it used 3/4 of a quart.
  3. My 09 Tahoe has been consuming about a quart every 3,000 miles. It started kicking out smoke when I start it (48,000 miles) so I took it in. They are going to install the deflector and clean the engine. I will be out of warranty very soon so I'm worried about it. Any advice? ETA: I also have an 09 Silverado but it has an iron block and isn't consuming any oil. Is there anyone with oil consumption that has an iron block?
  4. Gotcha. I was wondering if you would tap into the cargo light wiring or put a switch in the cab or bed.
  5. How are you going to install them? I'm asking because I would like these on my 2009.
  6. My GMT-900 buss is different than the one in the photo. I can't see the labels but there is no open slot. Do they have their own switch or are they connected to the cargo light?
  7. Thanks! I'll be pulling my trim pieces off this weekend and checking for the cables.
