  1. Got all 4 tires road force balanced at my dealer and finally got on the highway today, was only for a couple of minutes, but no vibration all the way up to 80mph. Dealer said both front tires were out of GM spec and needed some weights added. Hopefully it stays smooth and doesn't come back!
  2. I had a 2014 Z71 crew cab 4x4 Silverado 1500 that drove awesome!! No vibrations, transmission great and was happy. My wife has the same in a GMC and is great also. Well with all the rebates going on I decided to trade in for a 2017. Same truck just with different tires and I have the dreaded vibration starting at 72 and ridiculous at 78mph. Going in the shop for road balancing today.
  3. Getting mine replaced tomorrow. Brought it in for the seat movement and mentioned a coolant smell and steam when damp out. Called me back up and said they found a small leak in radiator and would replace it.
  4. Mine does the same thing occasionally. I can't smell it when driving , only when I get out of the truck. Also if it's very damp or raining it steams a little for a minute after shutting it off.
  5. I just got the Ionic Voyager running boards. They are a 6" running board close to OEM bars. I got the chrome ones delivered for $356. Definitely changes the way you get in and out of the truck and catches a lot of the road debris. I have a long stone driveway and I think this will stop a majority of the stones from hitting the truck itself.
  6. Cap'n Pete.. My '14 shifted smoothly when I got it.. After the update it would hit hard from 2nd to 3rd.. A very noticeable difference. After driving it for a few more days it is better as its only noticeable when the trans temp is still cold and goes away once it reaches about 100 degrees.
  7. Good to hear that your shifting is back to where it was before. Mine jumps in and out of V4 and V8 A LOT more!! Kicks into V4 and lugs the truck into low rpms and then downshifts to get going again. Hopefully the tranny gets back to normal and gets rid of this.
  8. I had mine done also and feel the same thing. Did yours get better? Mine seems a little better but not like it used to be. My truck also goes into 4 cylinder mode more........
  9. Thanks guys! Good to know we are all about the same. I'm going to tow with it tomorrow for the first time and am anxious to see how it does. ( only about 2000 lbs. )
  10. The transmission in my 2014 Silverado with the 5.3 and 3.42 gears gets up to 190 to 193 degrees when it is warmed up under normal driving. This is about 10 degrees higher than my 08 with 5.3 and 3.73 gears. What type of trans temps are you guys seeing?
