  1. Problem solved i got another truck. identical with the exception this one doesn't have the vibration. Thanks to the local dealer.
  2. I have not taken the truck to any place other than the dealer. They balanced the 18's and swapped tires and rims for 17's. That didnt fix it. I don't intend to spend money at a tire shop that is GM's responsibility to fix in the first place. I really don't think it's a tire balance issue anyway. I did however drive a crew cab and it doesn't have the vibration problem that my extended cab does. That makes me think it's more of a drivetrain issue even though they have already swapped the driveshaft. maybe differential or torque converter. Still waiting to hear the next move.
  3. got my truck back today after 8 days in the shop for another issue with wiring harness and blowing sensors. they also swapped the 18 inch goodyears for 17's with bridgestones. that didnt fix the vibration problem either. Jennifer, i'm still waiting on a return call from the gm customer service rep. btw the 17 inch rims dont look close to what i had with the 18's. looks was about the only thing going for the truck and now that's going downhill.
  4. And now it's on the back of a wrecker headed back to the dealer. Surging won't get over 30 mph. This has been one hell of a new vehicle experience.
  5. Well, the dealer replaced the driveshaft Friday. Didn't do anything to help the problem. Maybe the 2014 Chevy's are supposed to vibrate.
  6. Just bought 2014 1500 4x4 extended cab with 5.3. the truck has a vibration around 45 to 50 mph. returned it to the dealer two times. first time they said tires were not balanced but it still did not fix the problem. the second trip that swapped tires and rims and still no fix. the service rep. is checking with gm but so far no solution. i suggested checking drive shaft for balance but dont think they felt that was the problem. they also drove several of the vehicles on the lot and i was told they have the same problem. i've got a 79 ford 4x4 with bias ply tires that rides smoother hope they find a solution soon.
