If you have an RV store near by perhaps you can find some putty tape for a temp seal around the window. It removes easily and "might" seal well enough to get you by. https://www.amazon.com/Dicor-BT-1834-1-Butyl-Seal-Tape/dp/B001FCB4JS/ref=sr_1_3?crid=Q9SDNXZELETV&keywords=putty+tape&qid=1565733491&s=gateway&sprefix=putty+tape%2Caps%2C222&sr=8-3

Home Link garage door opener issue
DaveInPickerington replied to Magoomba's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
I have to be right next to the garage door also. The remote that came with the door opener works almost a half block away. This problem in not unique to our trucks. Do a Google search and you will find a ton of hits with different makes and models. I appears to me that the Homelink transmitters vary considerably in their power output from one unit to the next. Homelink is useless for customer support. They always seem to say the same thing (Make sure your training remote has a new battery and re-learn). -
My 2014 has the built in controller. I have also used the Prodigy P2 and P3 in previous vehicles. They all perform the same. Both Prodigys slip into a holder and are easy to disconnect and move out of plain sight. I do like the built in controller because the "emergency braking paddles" are easy to reach without looking down to where an aftermarket unit would need to be mounted.

2014+ Gas Mileage (MPG) Topic
DaveInPickerington replied to BringTheRain403's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
My mileage after two fill-ups (739 miles) is 20.07 mpg. This is not a DIC figure, but, an actual calculation based on 739 miles / 36.81 gallons. I drive 10 miles each way to work 4 days a week via country roads. This also includes 400 miles of highway driving between 60 and 70 mph. Not bad for a V8 that's a long way from being broken-in. I use an Android application on my smartphone to track my mileage. The app is free and is call "FillUp".
