Mine had no signs, even after the light came on. I honestly took it in thinking it would just be a faulty sensor
-
Anyone on here get this resolved? I took mine in last week, 2014 5.3 with 73,XXX miles. Had a light come on and they said it was a couple other things and then ended up finding out it was in fact the oil pump. They dropped the pan today and found shavings. GM has approve to tear into the motor; I was told that they will be rebuilding the motor and possibly getting a new block. Just got the news today so we will see what they find. Seems like they are working with me

I guessing you already know by now but yes you can, I'm currently running 305/55r20 with Cooper Discoverer MTP.

No cutting at all and rides like stock. I did the 2.5 first and the body a couple weeks later. I have pictures of it all in my build page

What bed cover is that? do you have link? I like the rugged look and tiedowns

Post your 2014+ wheel/tire set-up
KUUG replied to BlueWrapper's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
All I have to say is good luck to anyone who tries it. I couldn't fit a -12 offset without cutting, I'm sure he had to do a lot. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
KUUG replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
To all of you: I posted POSSIBLE FIX for a reason. I don't have any issues with mine and I'm not going to read through 200 pages, I was just trying to help and give incite on this situation. I'm not a GM rep and its not on me so I really have no reason to feed anyone bs. The fact of the matter is this did fix his problem and his truck is running smooth now, take it for what you want. I will ask that but I believe it was not at 65-70 mph, his was a lower speed issue. It wasn't ring gears because they said the only replaced motor mounts. That may mean some were missing or not properly installed, there is not telling. I'll get a build date off his truck when I visit him next. If your motor is vibrating and is not properly secure it will absolutely increase mpg after fixing it. Pull a couple of yours out and report back to everyone... Maybe you'll even get better mpg, you should definitely try it! I even hear taking off your lug nuts will help from the weight reduction, try that too but only at highway speeds. Rule out what you want but this is what happened. I have to see if he still has the paperwork. I know he wont have the part numbers but possible to get the recall number. You might be right, I haven't visited this page for a long time and definitely did not read through almost 200 pages. Just hoping to help, that's it. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
KUUG replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Replacing the motor mounts completely fixed his issues. When I asked him again today he reassured me that it fixed all problems he was having, even gas mileage. Before he was saying that this may be the last Chevy(GM) he ever buys again, now he love his truck like I have since the day I got mine. He did not complain about any issues at highway speeds but I will ask him to make sure. I drove his truck on a couple occasions in town and it was very noticeable. I assumed he got his fixed so everyone was starting to, I would have posted this a long time ago if I knew you guys were still having issues. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
KUUG replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Possible FIX!!!! I was informed in another topic that this was still an issue for a lot of you guys. I have had no issues with my truck however my dad has. We both took our trucks in for recalls within the same week and we both had all the same recalls done except he had one extra that I did not. He has also had mpg issues while I've always been happy with mine. After I put on larger tires and a lift we were getting the same which isn't right. Keep in mine the only difference in our Z71 LTZ's is the color and he has the factory trailer brake control. He told the guys when he dropped it off that he was having vibration issues at idle and lower speeds. When he asked what the extra recall was they told him it was new motor mounts. He didn't go into detail about them but I will try to get a recall number when I see him next. Hope this helps some of you. I don't open this topic up much so quote my post if you have any questions; if I can't answer them I'll find out from my dad -
Whats the story? Did that happen in the heavy rain yesterday? I passed by a few wrecks on my commute. Side airbags worked...

You'll have to stick with a stock offset and might possible be some trimming needed

http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/164349-201415-hd-powerfold-oem-tow-mirrors-the-ones-weve-been-waiting-for/ Or try the part numbers listed further back in this topic

What have you done to your K2 today?
KUUG replied to block8head's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
at first I though it was just the picture but they are both like that -
As TexasHusker stated the exact tire/wheel info will be a huge determining factor. I plan to go with 35's or really big 34's on my stock 18" z71 wheels with the lift set up you are wanting. What kind of 4" do you have and why don't you want it anymore? Message me if your going to sell it

I find it strange that they would remove any bolts, the bolts and nuts come in a bag. I didn't put mine on until right before I installed them. Unless they also install them after paint, but I'm too cheap to pay people to do that.
