Re: my mileage, idling will actually decrease gas mileage on the DIC. My best & average mpg is optained by normal highway, stop/go and freeway driving. I do fill with 91+ octane non ethanol fuel. From the get go ~1000 miles, my best mileage was in the 26+ range. As my handle says, I love my truck!

Here's mine W/O winter blend fuel. 14' CC, 4WD, 5.3, 3:08, 6'6" box

My 14' CC with 6'6" box is 19" longer then a 13' CC with 5' box. It fits perfect in my 22' deep garage with room to spare. If you look under the hood, two of the cylinders are into the firewall, giving it the shorter hood length.

I have a14' LT Z71 with cloth heated seats and remote start . My DIC does not give me the option in vehicle settings for remote start or heated seats.

Silverado's Bluetooth voice recognition SUCKS!!! Never had problems like this with my other vehicle's Bluetooth. So I know it's NOT me.

I started having this noise happen around 3,000 miles (5.3, Z71, standard box). It would always occur between 5-15 mph. It was kind of a rattling noise coming from the rear end, sounding something like a bad U-joint or a posi-traction noise like something was loose. After 15mph the sound would go away. I made an appointment with dealership. He stated that no one had been in for servicing with that problem and made that quote all service writers have, "if we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it". My rear end noise went away about 200 miles ago, so I never took it in. Curious what other dealerships are doing to resolve the issue.
