  1. The dealers are idiots(many, not all) When I was complaining about the radio,I took the service writer for a long ride. Most of the ride the radio sounded like the take out clown at Jack in the box. We get back to the dealer and he said to me "so what seems to be the problem?" How do you argue with that?
  2. I spoke at length to 2 guys at ibiquity in new jersey. they gave me to "the guy" in the detroit area. they all held the line that it was the cable, and that gm was aware. They said it would be awhile to get gm aboard to fix it. then I see that tj was going a different route and seemed to be getting some traction,so i did not bother the hd guys again. So like 3-1/2 months ago I had enough of the bs from gm and the dealer and just dumped the truck. so it seemed kind of pointless to pursue any further for me. I am still hanging around as I had a few things to sell that I took before the trade. I still have a Du-Ha underseat storage box to fit the '14 crew cab it's black and like new all separator pcs. are still in the bag. It goes with all interior colors. I am near Trenton,NJ if any one is interested lists out at $199, first $125 cash gets it.Sorry for the shameless plug
  3. Sorry they told me they were working with another guy, when they forwarded it to Detroit office, just assumed it was you when BRuss asked me. Carry on.
  4. I did not expect it to know about the closed road. But I did expect it to re calculate like all the ones in my other cars. There are more ways to get places than the first way it showed.Like turn left at next intersection and so on. Not just telling me to go back. I made it to where I was going so it must have been possible. Real ones will recalculate very quickly after a turn is missed. The GM one is just outdated cheap junk.
  5. Not only did mine give bad times,if you encountered a closed road or detour, instead of rethinking the route, it spent the next 20 minutes telling you to turn around and go back to the closed road. Sometimes I was at destination and it was still showing routes back to closed road. Maxwell Smart called he wants his technology back.
  6. Silly JUF, these trucks were not designed to go up hills.
  7. This is pretty much the problem we all have on this thread. I'll bet you a coffee in the waiting room they tell you you are the first and it is operating as designed. The HD radio people assure me it is not the way they designed it.
  8. Hiway safety commission says they have to be there, doesn't specify they have to work. :>(
  9. The gentleman I spoke with last month did say that was the problem. This time we did discuss that but mostly we talked about trying to get it solved. I told him about some people were told that if they tried to replace or modify the system it would void the warranty. How frustrated we were about the working as designed speech and that no matter how many people have reported problems GM says they never heard of it. He is not happy with the way things are. While he /they are aware of this They would like to see a couple of the worst trucks first hand. When he hung up he was on his way to a meeting with other HD guys and some GM people so he would bring it up again. If a couple of you would like to make the trip PM me and I can give you the guys # maybe he really will see you. He seemed concerned, who knows. He said he would keep me in the loop if any thing were to break loose.
  10. These are working as designed. Did you find the RAINEX in the glove box?
  11. Yesterday I spoke to the COO of Ibiquity (the HD radio people) in Detroit. He gave me to the gentleman that is the direct contact guy with GM. He is as angry as we are. First because he knows about the problems and he knows GM is not acting quickly enough to make this right. He knows this is hurting the HD brand. He believes the severity of this problem is vehicle specific, Sierra and Silverado. The problem is that once GM officially acknowledges this (or other problems) it becomes a matter of public record. Then the floodgates open and it costs them money. If they continue to tell people this is the way it is supposed to be many will accept that and go away. He says they will continue to press GM on this matter. He was appalled when I told him of the one dealers idea of a solution was to turn down the sound settings so the in and out reception would not be as noticeable. Meanwhile he says about all we can do is to continue to complain to the dealers. When the people there get tired of the complaints and telling customers there is nothing wrong, maybe they will start pressing the higher ups for a fix. If you got lucky and have one that works, great. If you got one that does not work as designed please continue to press the dealers for a fix. He also offered that if any one with a problem with HD lives near the Detroit offices they would like to see this first hand in your trucks, this could better help them with R&D. You can see the address for that office on the Ibiquity home page. Please be nice to them they are trying to help us.
  12. There is a big difference between old looking and total crap. Yes Jennifer I said total crap,do you need my vin and mileage to pass that on to the father land?.
