If your buying new wheels anyway, why do a spacer? I had spacers on stock jeep wheels, I didn't have any real problems, but put on wheels with proper backspacing as soon as funds allowed. Just seemed ify with a set of lug nuts you cant easily check hidden behind the wheel.

Before I cut the ANC I would only get noise on startup and at certain rpms. -

If you clip the wires to the rear mic it killls the feed back. Not sure if the fronts still work? I dont miss it at all, tje truck is still dead quite. And you could always reconnect the wires and go back to stock. I think the added bass will cover more engine noise then that ANC did anyway honestly. -
6.2 Exhaust, What do you have?
T.gleason replied to SY2455's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
Is that the stainless or aluminumized? How loud is it on startup? Im trying to avoid being the jerk at 5am every morning in my subdivision, but I really want this truck to sound better. -

Adding Aftermarket Sub/Amp
T.gleason replied to MotoMedic's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Yes. Look at the headliner above.the backseat, on 6.2 models there is a roughly 3" grill above the middle seat. Tjats the rear mic. There is also matxhing mic's in the middle of each entry assist fold down handle above the passenger seat. To make it real simple to tap in a sub. If you pop up the door sill cover of the rear passenger side, there will be a plastic channel holding audio wires. Pull off the top plate, your sub wires will be the thicker twistested wires. They run from the amp to the sub, splice those to a loc and your set. -

Your truck listed is a 5.3, the noise cancelation is only on the 6.2 engine optioned trucks. The noise cancellation will make the sub overcompensate and you get crazy feed back. I was unable to be sure what wire to unplug, so I pulled down the very back of the headliner and sniped the wire going to the rear mic. You may be able to get it by pulling the third brake light, its taped in the same harness. Your truck listed is a 5.3, the noise cancelation is only on the 6.2 engine optioned trucks. Stock control arms: Steel or aluminum?
T.gleason replied to pancepance's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Denali's are available with the z71 pkg, you can get them with the z60 or z71 suspension. Also to add to the list here my ccsb AT 6.2 has aluminum, never gave it much thought but after reading all this I went and looked. -
My boss has a denali looked like the same key as the slt? Will try and double check.

T.gleason replied to Green 1364's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Im not sure were your at but if its cold you might want to take a heat gun and go along the edges to help the rubber settle down. I did mine and bed has been virtually dry inside since install. Take care not to melt it lol. I just did one nice smooth pass. -
I I have a loaded out slt and the remote looks like it came from toys r us. Would love to hear there is a better remote???

2014+ Truck Bed / Tonneau Covers

I have the vp, was in the same boat, couldn't decide between the vp or g2. It advertised the vp as flat with no hinges showing, well from 10ft off it is. If you walk up to it you can make them out under the vinyl. With that being said, I love this cover, easy install, looks great, has to be one of the lowest profile covers available. It sits damn near flat with the bed rails.no water whatsoever on my bed rug either. Definitely recommend it. -
What are the main differences between the 2? I looked up and found the vette and it shows 450hp vs our 420, is it all tuning? Are there any simple changes to make it match the vette? I know you can do anything with aftermarket parts and tunes, but I think itd be cool to do it with factory parts. I intend to put the vette vaule covers on just as a convo piece (if possible, yet another ? Lol)
