All... doing the tire shopping thang... i just had my truck leveled with a pro comp front kit at 2.25. I have been shopping and everyone at the tire shops are swearing that the nitto terra grapplers at 305/55R20 will fit on stock 2014 20 inch rims with no rub issues. The Terra Grapplers at this size are actually 33.07 X 12.6. I am looking at these due to the light weight and good track record with folks.57lbs for an LT is pretty good. i am iffy on the "they fit no rub" as i think they will rub on the sway bar, but several shops have stated the same. I have seen on this forum others who have gone to bigger tires on stocks and say they get a slight rub on the sway at full lock but a lot of those folks are into the mudder class of tires which throws things a bit since they have knobbies that stick out of the side walls. The Terra Grapplers are fairly tame in that area. So the question again.... Any one out there with a 2014 and stock 20s successfully installed this tire and size on their truck?

There is a group of wires that go to the door handle area. Probably like 4 or 5 wires to a connector housing. There is a grey wire with a stripe on the outer left most section of that plug that is the "trigger" wire. So basically you are connecting or splicing into that wire. It's most likely some low voltage wire that goes back to the control module "amp" that tells the boards to deploy. One tip is pay attention to how you route the wire when running the first section of wire through the interior of the door to avoid the window rails. The instructions are pretty good but they do leave out little details which I am sure they thought were common sense " ahem" for installers. It's really not too bad if you take your time but you will burn a day doing it. I also recommend a trip to auto parts store to get a set of non marring panel prys cost is about 15 bux and worth it as it helps to remove panels in a safe non plastic breaking fashion.

Each door operates the boards independently which is why the trigger at each door. I did the install this past weekend in case anyone gets stuck let me know I will try to advise on lessons learned.

Was also considering amp boards .....but was also considering the possibility of protection from door dings having regular boards. My last truck equipped with nerf bars went several yrs without door dings as the boards protruded just enough to catch door ninja attacks.
