  1. Always wanted these on my 2014 GMC. Can someone give the height dimention of these as used on the new Silverado's so I can see if they'll fit my 14? Thank you.
  2. I'll bet they want $4200 to fix it, there labor rates are ridiculous. Quite sure it'll be a factory reconditioned unit to boot. You might want to contact GM and tell them the repair cost seems excessive, they may help you in your situation.
  3. Concur. My truck may have been the first to receive the Volsa bulbs and BCM mod; while a little better turning onto a rural un-lit side road is a challenge even with fogs on. A neighbor has a 16 Denali and one day I'll try to do a visual comparison. It would be interesting if the16 fenders carry the same part number as the 14/15s?
  4. Highest end Escalade has a feature that detects vehicle is turning and projects additional lighting to the side. Forgot what they call it I posted about it somewhere on the forum, go the Cadillac site, it's on there.
  5. Exactly what has been said all along. My truck may have been the first to have the Volsa bulbs/BCM reflash performed; and yes straight ahead lighting and distant side road is much improved. However immediate side lighting necessary for turning on to an unlit side road or driveway to me is basically unchanged. Almost like the projector need something like a wide angle lens in addition to a distance lens???? Bi-focals? Don't think I'll ever be completely satisified.
  6. ChrisNJ says they put new headlight assemblies, bulbs and BCM upgrades to his truck. I'll try to find out more about these assemblies if I can.
  7. Had the new bulbs/BCM update on Feb 2nd, the following is the description of work performed, as I've said earlier on there's no part numbers shown: HEADLIGHTS TOO DIM...SOP IN CASE # ________________ REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT BULBS UPDATE BCM After much complaining verbally to GM Customer Service over the 14 Sierra headlights, I was contacted by GM offering to send the update to my dealership to install. I never complained to my dealership and when GM CS suggested I contact the dealer, I told them there's nothing my dealer can do it's the design of the headlights that I feel is the problem. The update is much better but I feel the lights on my old 03 Silverado were still better. AUTOGUY that's an impressive fleet of vehicles you've got!
  8. Needs to be able to blow out speakers and amps on those alpha hotels who rattle there trunk lids. USCG those horns are for trains or boats, can get you unwanted attention from popo.
  9. Has anyone else had the new bulb/BCM flash performed on there Sierra? I feel there better than the original lighting, but high beams aren't very useful as mod has no effect on them. I'm interested in what others think.
  10. If the bulbs they show you aren't made by Vosla (there PN 28432) then there not the right bulb. These are the bulbs GM sent to my dealership that were installed in my truck along with BCM flash, NC.
  11. Being technically challenged, if I can get help from one if the younger guy at work I'll try to do this. Regarding my lighting upgrade, continually calling GM customer service and expressing my dissatisfaction with my Sierra's headlights led to them assigning a case number (case number is on my work order). Quite a few months later I was provided an email address for someone at the top. I took a shot at sending a nice polite short story on our headlights. Say a week passed and no response, then one day at work I received a call from GM Executive Office offering to send my dealership a pair of bulbs and BCM reflash, of course I accepted there offer. This was a first for the dealership they had never done or heard of this before. Result is a great improvement over the previous lighting! I originally thought no one really cared, I was wrong--glad GM steppd up to the plate.
