  1. $60 bucks was a great deal. Guess people started buying cards like crazy because the prizes have gone up. The cheapest runs for $125.
  2. If you cannot find them anywhere else cheaper, try http://www.fobkeyless.com/gmc-sierra-chevrolet-silverado-keyless-entry-remote.html They are $104.99 a piece
  3. Yep, I am going to have to take my truck in for this repair. I take it will take 2-3 days to complete. Add paint repair to the insider driver's door that bubbled up and is exposing the primer. Guess I will be driving a rental for about a week. The sad thing is that I have to drive 160 miles to get this repaired. The good news is that I will be in a city where the repairs can be done for a couple of weeks. The scary part is that they have to remove the bed and other parts in order to make this repair.
  4. Video entertainment in the front of the cab, or visible to the driver is illegal in most states. Rear view live video is not illegal. Example, most class A RVs have this system in place.
  5. Well, I stand corrected, I do not have this particular handle on the driver's side A pillar. The one I have is the retractable one on the B pillar. The picture I posted earlier is actually from a 2015 truck model.
  6. My 2014 SLT has it. Maybe it is standard on the SLT model.
  7. Yep, just like on the passenger side but now they also have it on the driver's A pillar.
  8. If the radio screen is not doing this, you can program it to do so via settings.
  9. Here is some info as to how people are bypassing security systems by hacking or fooling the on board computer systems in your vehicle. http://hackaday.com/2013/06/09/ask-hackaday-can-you-steal-a-car-with-a-mini-tesla-coil/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9luynAbseM IntroductionA new tool is allowing criminals across the world to break into cars without leaving a trace, and now that device has made its way to the Canada. The Police don’t know how they are doing it, and there is a lot of speculation. The latest theory is a new device can be purchased online for about $5 and sends an electromagnetic pulse through a car’s key area to unlock the vehicle. A device manufacturer has confirmed that 25+ of these devices have already then packaged and mailed to individuals within a particular state. Using a small EMP device to unlock a car’s door – got the attention of someone who builds mini EMP devices and has used them to get credits on slot machines. He claims it’s highly unlikely a mini EMP device would be able to activate the solenoid on a car door. Possible Device?A very small hi-volt power supplies called “fluorescent lamp inverters” or CCFL drivers. In fact, these devices are actually solid-state continuous-wave “CW” Tesla Coils: they produce one or two kilo-volts at high frequency. http://amasci.com/tesla/microtc.html The AttackNow the attack does not allow malicious people to drive off with your car! What it does is trick/break the car lock so that the malicious individual can open your car door! From there they can rummage around the inside of your car, glovebox and remove any valuables or important documentation (driving license and insurance) than can be further used in fraud and identify theft scenarios. Apparently 19 car manufacturers are vulnerable to this attack, however, no-one yet has released the full list? So How to Defend Your Car?At the moment there is no real defence from your car! Choices: Don’t leave valuables in your car! Don’t leave important documentation in your car! Purchase an after market alarm,

  11. I have my NAV system set on 3D and it does not show any buildings like yours does. And this is while driving through Austin and San Antonio.
  12. Those are pretty good mphs. The best I have had is 23.9 with a crew cab 4x4 Z71 doing an average of 76 mph for 100 miles with a slight tail wind. If it matters, I have an access cover on the bed of the truck.
