  1. I've wondered the same thing. In order to get air movement through the seat for cooling, the heating element is too far away from the surface to be effective. However, that doesn't explain why it's so intermittent in my case, and why sometimes the back works and other times it doesn't. Also, this isn't the only vehicle that's been manufactures with heated and cooling seats. Others have both that work.
  2. We all need to complain to GM about this. I just had a "chat" session with a guy at GM customer service. All he asked is what would you like me to do about it. Maybe I'm hyper sensitive today because of how cold it is (-5 at the moment). But we all spent a lot of money on these new vehicles and the seat heaters are very poor at best. Call me a wimp. I don't care
  3. Same problem here, as well as 2 failed Trailer Brake modules. Mine has heated and ventilated seats. My truck is in for the 3rd time with either very weak seat heater performance, or no seat heater. Sometimes they work and others not at all, but they are never very warm. The dealer replaced the bottom element on the drivers side, but nothing else. I tried to explain that that would do nothing for the back but they replaced it anyway. The temp is -4 right now, so the seat heater would be nice to have. $50K truck is in their garage while I drive a Rent a Wreck. I've owned several GM trucks with no issues. After 5 months and 8,000 miles I'm getting a little concerned. Rides great but electrical gremlins might kill my love...
