  1. After having a serious issue for a year and a half with my radio changing stations on its own, and reading this thread, I did the following: 1. Replaced the shark fin with a new one for $65.00. Did not fix the problem. 2. Had my HMI module software updated at the dealer's for $60.00. Did not fix the problem. 3. Ordered a used display off of ebay for $200.00. Took less than 10 minutes to remove the old one and plug up the new one. Fixed the problem. If you plan on doing this beware of the 7" screen vs. the 8" screen situation. My original was an 8" screen so there was a little gnashing of teeth when trying to match up the exact same thing.
  2. What I found in the rear drivers side post was an Omron unit that had BCM on it. Small print said Body control monitor, not module, but I bet it is the module. Took drivers side post apart where the seat belt is and didnt see the RCDLR there either. Anyone got any ideas?
  3. I pulled the DSM fuse but am unaware of another fuse to pull.
  4. Skyhigh which fuses did you pull and were you also showing a TPMS error before you pulled the fuses?
  5. Well I did it just like you said but it didnt work. The tech who fixed the air bag issue said his machine was claiming it was the unlock module. Supposed to be on the drivers side somewhere but he was real vague about exactly where.
  6. Would removing the battery cables for a couple of hours do the same thing?
  7. BigDaddycatToday, 07:54 AM I have been told my door unlock receiver module on my 2007 four door Z71 is bad. The symptoms are no communication with the TPMS and the keyless entry won't work. Both fobs are fine so it's not them. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is located please? I think I can replace it myself if I can find it. Thanks!
