  2. Okay thank you. So what is the difference between the two gear boxes. Anti-kickback, and regular? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Howdy y’all. I have an 02 suburban z71 with the early z71 “anti-kickback steering box”. I’m resealing the until (leaking) and the dealer sold me PN 26090554 seal kit. He said there was only one option and it was for the “680 series gears”. Firstly, is this the correct PN for my Z71 specific gear box, and secondly what is the “680 series gears”? I know we have some parts people in here so please give me a hand before I tear this apart. Thanks a lot! In the picture the part is KO3 on the left that I was sold. My vin is 2G219780. Being I have a different gear box I can’t imagine the seals, gaskets, and snap rings are the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Leave the Throttle body, injectors, and fuel pump alone. As said by CamGTP, there is only one intake manifold. I do suggest getting a TBSS intake or GMT900 intake as they flow much better. Some slight modifications might need to be made but its the best upgrade for your situation in my opinion. Like said above as well, if you're flex fueling wont be an issue. A lot of blown GMT800 flexes do pretty well with stock fueling.
  5. Could very likely be a failing fuel pressure regulator. I would still put a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on the rail. Do that and post back to verify its getting the correct pressure.
  6. Yes, get a vacuum bleeder from Harbor Freight- they're inexpensive and worth having. If possible borrow a scanner from someone that can cycle the ABS module to assist in the bleeding procedure.
  7. Delphi or AcDelco OEM/Genuine GM. If you live in rust states, get a new lock ring along with 2 clips and 2 bolts for the tank straps. Advance auto has the strap hardware in stock.
  8. Use a mechanical gauge to check the fuel pressure at the rail. That is a very common issue and normally the case with these symptoms.
  9. If you don’t have second gear at all but everything else is okay I suspect a solenoid or other electrical issue regarding the transmission. When you manually put it in 2nd what happens?
  10. There shouldn’t be a cam relearn, only crank from my experience. Have you tried disconnecting the battery?
  11. Hi all, I Hydroboost swapped my 02 suburban about 4 months ago with all new ac delco OEM PS pump with the 1 ton pump and deleted the EVO, 1 ton cooler, 2011 duramax hydrobooster, brake pedal, hoses/lines, pulley, master cylinder, booster gasket and new 2013 tahoe PPV front calipers, also replaced the rear brake line. The entire system was bled properly and firm and would lock all the tires up. Now after a hard brake a few days ago the pedal is as soft as a vacuum pump and takes almost all the pedal to slow it down. Not close to how it was. The fluid is amsoil fully synthetic PS fluid and the ps/hydro was bled as well, there appears to be no issues. However, I recently noticed an air noise behind the steering wheel at idle and am wondering if the hydrobooster might be bad. Does anyone have experience with this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. A bad pinion bearing can definitely throw the yoke out of spec and take out the pinion and gears, happened to me and twisted the pumpkin like a pretzel with a trutrac sandwich. The structural integrity of the housing might be compromised from the force there is a special measurement tool for checking the runout and angles in the tubes, if you can't get it figured out you might want to just swap axles.
  13. Try the dealer, if not get the part number from them. LMC might have it, or the junkyard (LKQ.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Definitely sounds like the sunshell. Thats common on the 60e. You’ll need a rebuild if thats the case. I upgraded to the beast sunshell but now theres an even better one, I can’t recall the name. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. So on my nbs i swapped hydroboost and still have the vacuum brake hoses and the one is bad. I also swapped to the nnbs larger calipers. My hydrobooster is rated for 12,000 lbs and the escalade one is only 7,200 lbs so which brake hose can I run? Will the 3500 HD brake hose bolt into a 1/2 ton caliper?
