  1. I converted my 4x4 6.2 8 speed 9.76 over to 3.73 three years ago. The parts have been out there, just had to do some research. Yes, aftermarket has sucked but I’ve been happy with the AAM carriers and ring and pinion. Eaton is releasing 9.76 TrueTrac early this year so it’s now an option. It does require a spacer though from what I’ve read. I maxed out at 3.73 so I’m not running a spacer. My rear carrier is 23404621.
  2. I adjusted and lowered the front to 1 3/4 for some rake.
  3. The front Bilsteins are adjustable up to 1 7/8-2 inches. Call Summitt Racing and talk with them. I ordered mine from them. You can still have a front rake with those shocks and you won’t have to mess with control arms or other parts getting worn.
  4. I went with Bilstein 5100’s front and rear. You can achieve the leveled look but don’t ignore the rear. I replaced the stock 1 inch blocks above leaf springs with rough country 2 inch. Leveled isn’t really leveled. The ass end is gonna sag and looks terrible IMO.
  5. My 16 6.2 8 speed Midnight Z71, has the DSX E85 kit. I’m running ARH 1 7/8 LT with cats, Corsa catback, and Blackhawk CAI. I have an early 8 speed so tune was able to be done. I’ve done a gear change to 3.73. Running 22 in OEM wheels on 305 Toyo Proxes. Haven’t yet dyno’d the truck but have ran my SS sedan (LS3 6.2 Holden) from a dig against the truck and they’re nose and nose to about 60-65. SS is stock and rated at 0-60 in 4.5-4.7 sec. The E85 wakes these 6.2’s up, there’s no doubt. When I get an upgraded driveshaft on, I’ll dyno.
  6. Just completed the swap, front and rear. Both new carriers and ring and pinions. Unless you purchase a spacer, which is mechanically risky with a OEM carriers, going above a 3.73 with a 9.76 rear isn’t ideal. If you have a 6.2, 3.73 is plenty of gear. With a competent tuner you’ll be in good shape.
  7. I have rough country 2 inch blocks and there's no vibration. I've done this to three consecutive trucks; 14,15 and 16 and never had an issue.
  8. Corsa CATback 14866. It's the best available for the 6.2 IMO. I've had it on for about 2 months and love it. I've had Flowmasters over the years and they're crap compared to the Corsa. There's no drone and if you're gonna run LT headers it's the way to go.

  10. For those that have installed a 2 inch front level kit on their Sierra or Silverado, what's the largest tire you've put on without rubbing? I want to put 33's or a little more on my Sierra.
