  1. Stock tires 5.3 with 3.42 Pulling 27 ft travel trailer Truck and camper fully loaded = 10.5 mpg
  2. Ditto. It seems that everyone wants to proclaim to the world that they have a "Z71" with heavy duty this and that. Well, along with it comes stiffer ride, more road vibration, etc. I too opted for the LT, great ride and I can still tow up to 9600 lbs.* Oh, and BTW, GM might want to concentrate on how these vehicles are tied down during transport. Dodge/Chrysler had the same problem 20 yrs ago on their Minivans and after a lot of angst, it was a little reported secret that the delivery drivers were torquing down on the wheels and driveshaft spindles during transport. Also, the other day I noticed a truck load of new Chevy trucks being delivered and noticed that they have solid black metal wheels on them, not the ones they will be sold with.
  3. I have had same problem with my 13 Silverado. However, there is a simple solution that I have used for two (2) years now. "Liquid Electrical Tape" This stuff looks and acts like the factory coating, application is a breeze and it doesn't wear off. It's cheap and a hell of a lot easier than being without your truck during the complaint and repair process with your dealer. Granted, if you have a large scale problem then the dealer process would be the way to go. Fortunately, mine has been limited to a few trouble spots.
