  1. I have 2017 Sierra SLT with the 8 speed transmission that has 38500 on the odometer so bumper to bumper is over but the powertrain warranty is there. Last week the CEL came on after a hard shift when accelerating from a stop. Took it to the dealership where they scanned the computer and came back with a P0797 code. The paperwork states "P0797 stored in TCM as history, found update in TCM for false codes, programmed TCM and performed fast learn adapt." To me that says the terrible 8 speed programing was the cause of my CEL coming on. My issue is that the dealership is charging $100 for the service to reprogram the computer. My service advisor stated that GM does not consider that work to be part of the powertrain warranty. I expressed how I think that is a little BS to charge a customer for something the GM should be covering under warranty. Am I wrong and overreacting on thi or should GM have picked up the bill?
  2. Did you leave the flapper in the original place or did you move it right behind the resonator like the other member did.
  3. My 2014 and my 2017 suffer from this. I think it is finding the sweet spot but I do notice it on certain pumps more than others. Its like when there is a longer nozel there seems to be an issue. I just pull it out an inch or so and then I'm all good.
  4. Well my MX4 was delivered yesterday and the only damage I can see on it is where during a previous shipping it was scratched. The panel that is scratched is on the bottom so I'll never see it. Unfortunately it has been raining since about 10 minutes before it was delivered which sucks cause it Would have been a nice rain to test out how water tight the cover is.
  5. Well I ended up picking up a used BAK MX4 off of amazon from a reputable dealer. They say it's like new but could have a few small scratches on it. It was $611 so I rolled the dice and will see what it is like when it gets here. Worst case I can always return it.
  6. Yeah I had taken it to the dealer and they gave be a quote for something like $507 for the repair. Went back with that to discount and told them what they did. The manager said he wasn't sure how they could have done that but that they would pay to have it fixed. I was expecting them to fight it and was pleasantly surprised when they didn't.
  7. I had the front left tire repaired at discount tire earlier that day. At some point during the repair they cut one of the electrical wires going into the hub. That caused all of my error codes. The way the hub is build it could not be repaired at had to replace the whole thing.
  8. Got in the truck today and Service Stabilitrak and park assist disabled popped up on the DIC. I also saw the ABS light was lit up on the instrument panel. I will be a few days before I can get it to the dealership. Anybody have an idea what caused this? Guess I should tell you I am driving a 2014 Crew Cab LTZ Z71 5.3L
  9. Do you have any rub? I have been looking at that exact set up for my truck.
