  1. Had been working with a local dealer to get a 2016 at my price point for a few days now. Picked it up tonight. Loved my 2014 but happy with the upgrade.
  2. Pic should speak for itself 1250 miles from PA to Webbwood Ontario and back. 3 adults, a dog and the bed fully loaded with fishing gear and supplies.
  3. Installed my Extang Revolution cover over the weekend. Install was super easy and seems to seal up really well. I didn't even install the included weather stripping and it seems to be pretty water tight. It is a roll up cover with no velcro and no snaps. Very easy on the wallet for a middle of the road cover and looks really good with the low profile style.
  4. Just hit this over the weekend. Highway miles on stock truck 65-75mph. I certainly can't complain. My day to day commute is only a few mile stop and go haul to work so it kills my mileage but if I continue to get numbers like this when I do actually hit the highway then it will keep me happy.
  5. Granted you have quite a few more miles but the 1998 Silverado I got rid of a few months ago, 4x4, extended cab, with 75,000 booked for almost $7k kbb. Thats doing pretty good for an almost 20 year old vehicle
  6. Supply vs. Demand it is that simple. The more people buy, the higher the price will go. When I first started my truck hunt a few months back I walked into the GM dealer and was chatting with a salesman that my girlfriends dad has known for quite a few years and the way he spoke about it made perfect sense. 5 years ago if you would have went into the GM dealer this long after the new models were released you would have seen 8, 9 maybe even 10k in saving and insentives on trucks already booked at 30-35k. Fast forward to now and your seeing what? $7-8k? on the same trucks based at $48-52k and people are still buying. Aside from the low sales numbers that GM has been releasing they are certainly still selling an absurd number of vehicles, and believe it or not, there are still people who go to a dealer, pay msrp out the door without a hassle, and go on their way. Its crazy, but as long as that continues prices will continue to rise. He even went as far as to say that by the time GM does their next full generation make over you may see those base model trucks selling at that $45-48k target price which bumps your high end trucks even higher than they are now. I reailze that is a lot to speculate but in reality it is certainly a possibility. I was also not in the market for a $45,000 + vehicle so I held out for one with a $39k sticker price + incentives. If you really shop around, not just local sales lots but really put some effort into finding a deal you can make out pretty good right now. I managed to get the 4x4, black interior, double cab, with bedliner and mudflaps out the door for $34,000.
  7. Guess I should buy a pair of sunglasses to see if they would fit. But then again I never use sunglasses so even if they did fit they would never be taken out of the holder. Talk about first world complaints The first '14 I test drove I was messing around with the compartment and it ended up not closing/latching and it seemed quite flimsy/cheap so I'm probably better off not using it much in my truck or it would just me something else I could break
  8. There hasn't been much said in here about Ionic brand running boards. Anyone have experience with the brand? Quality? They seem to be really affordable and I like a few of the styles they offer. I could never bring myself to spend $1000+ for something like the Amp steps but they do look great on these trucks
  9. My 2014 I picked up last week with my fathers 2500
  10. Just picked my 1500 up on Saturday and my parents picked their 2500 up last Wednesday. I came from driving a 1998 Silverado so comparing the new to old isn't even realistic.
